About this Opportunity
We are looking for a Design Engineer to join our product development team in Lisbon (with a hybrid work model and remote flexibility). This unique role sits at the crossroads of UI/UX design and front-end engineering, where you’ll transform design concepts in Figma into fully functioning, production-ready code in React. As an AI-native team member, you’ll harness modern AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation. Key Responsibilities
• Design-to-Code Execution: Convert design concepts into production-quality, responsive code using React (with TypeScript, HTML/CSS).
• Rapid Prototyping: Quickly create and iterate on UI prototypes using Figma, enhanced with AI tools for creative acceleration.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams—product managers, UX designers, and backend engineers—to turn innovative ideas into reality.
• System Consistency: Contribute to and maintain our design system and component library to ensure a consistent, polished product.
What We’re Looking For
• Experience & Drive: 2+ years of experience in front-end development, UI engineering, or a UI/UX design role building web applications.
• Front-End Expertise: You are proficient in React and JavaScript/TypeScript, as well as HTML5 and CSS3. You understand responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and front-end performance optimization.
• Design-to-Code Proficiency: Excellent visual design sensibilities with a robust ability to create entire user experiences—from initial design concepts in Figma all the way to working, production-ready code. • AI-Native Mindset: You naturally incorporate AI into your workflow. ou embrace modern AI tools (e.g. design assistants, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) to work smarter and more creatively.
• User-Centric & Detail-Oriented: A strong intuition for user experience and a meticulous attention to detail. You always think from the end-user’s perspective to create interfaces that are not only beautiful but also intuitive and delightful to use.
• Collaborative Communicator: Excellent communication skills in English. You enjoy collaborating in cross-functional teams and can effectively bridge the gap between design and engineering, articulating your design decisions while understanding technical constraints.
• Adaptable & Learning-Oriented: You embrace new challenges, quickly pick up new tools or frameworks, and remain curious in the ever-evolving worlds of tech and design.
